Iowa Lakes Men’s Basketball Head Coach Troy Larson is proud to announce the signing of four more student athletes to the Lakers roster for 2013-2014.
The first being Nathan So of Melbourne, Australia. Nathan played his high school basketball at Rowville Secondary Academy, where he averaged 12 points and 6 assist per game. “Nathan is very quick and has great hands defensively. We are excited to add him to our roster this season,” said Laker Head Coach Troy Larson.
The second, Emmanuel Golong also a Melbourne, Australia native, attended Glen Eira High School where he averaged 18 points and 8 rebound per game. “Emmanuel has some length, is pretty athletic, and can shoot the ball well; we look forward to coaching the young man,” commented Larson.
The third signee is Jaylen Randle of Flint, Michigan. Randle played his high school basketball at Carman Ainsworth in Flint. Averaging 8 points and 4 rebound per game as a senior. “Jaylen is a versatile combo and are eager to have him playing at Iowa Lakes this season,” Larson stated when asked about Randle.
The final signee is Latrell Love of Minnetonka, Minnesota. Latrell is a transfer from NJCAA Division 1 Williston State. He attended high school at Minnetonka where he averaged 15.6 points and 8 rebounds per game. “Latrell provides us with some depth in the post area and is really skilled around the basket,” Head Coach Troy Larson said.
The Lakers are coming off a National Tournament appearance and a 26-8 season. They will host Northwestern’s JV in their first game this season on November 4th, tip will be at 7:30 pm.
