Men's Cross Country

2012-2013 Men's and Women's Cross Country Team

The Iowa Lakes men’s cross country team members have been expanding since Molly Struve took over as head coach in July of 2007.  The Laker men travel across the Midwest to compete in meets with other community colleges, NAIA colleges and Division III colleges. 

As a Division I NJCAA college, Iowa Lakes has the opportunity to compete in the national cross country meet each November. 

Since 2007, the Laker cross country Men's and Women's teams has had four All-Region Honorable Mention athletes, two Distinguished Academic All-Americans (one male and one female) and fourteen All-Region Academic athletes.  Academics and athletics go hand and hand - Coach Struve believes strongly in each of her athletes maintaining a respectable GPA and staying focused on academics.  Many of her student athletes continue on at a four-year institution to earn their bachelor’s degree after completing their degree with Iowa Lakes.
