The Laker Men are back in action for a nonconference game as they play host to NJCAA DI Southeastern Community College Wednesday, November 16. The game is slated for a 7 p.m. start at Laker Gymnasium on the Estherville campus.
Southeastern is coming off a 101-72 victory against Malcolm X College, improving their season record to 5-0. The Blackhawks are averaging 83.6 points a game while giving up only 61.6 per game.
They are led offensively by Mike Hemsley and Fahro Alihodzi with both players averaging 15.8 points per game.
Iowa Lakes enters the game 3-2 on the season, coming off a 90-74 loss to Central Community College out of Columbus, Neb. The Lakers average 86 points per game offensively and give up an average of 86 points a game defensively.
Sophomore Tyler Stumme leads the Lakers on offensive averaging 14.8 points per game as well as shooting 40 percent from the 3-point line, with fifteen 3-pointers on the season. Freshman Shane Woods and sophomore Eric Allison add 13.4 and 11.2 points per game respectively.
Iowa Lakes Community College competes in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference and offers seven men’s and seven women’s sports.
