For the first time in 12 years the Iowa Lakes Men’s Basketball team defeated the Kirkwood Eagles Saturday afternoon to move to 7-4 on the season and 2-1 in region play.
The Lakers used a solid defensive effort and great bench play to win the game. The Lakers were led by Josh Schaben with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Also scoring in double figures for Iowa Lakes was Colton Neff with 12, and Diamontae McKinley with 11.
Kirkwood was led by Devan Douglas with 15 and JC Fuller with 11.
The Lakers will host #10 Nationally ranked DMACC January 15th in Laker Gymnasium. Tip will be at 3:00pm
