The Iowa Lakes Community College head men’s basketball coach Troy Larson is proud to announce the signing of Jeff DeCock. He will be joining the Laker basketball program this fall.
DeCock, a 6-foot-2-inch guard from Red Rock Central High School in Lamberton, Minn., was selected first team All-Conference as a sophomore, junior and senior. He was named team MVP the last two years; was first team All-Area in three different newspapers; and was a nominee for KNUJ player-of-the-year.
Over his career, DeCock has a total of 1376 points (2nd all-time in RRC); 383 rebounds; 351 assists; and 162 steals. He scored 42 in a game this season breaking the school single game scoring record – in the same game he was 16 for 16 from the free throw line putting him in the top 10 in state history for free throws in a single game. As a senior, Jeff averaged 22 points per game, 6.5 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 2 steals and shot 71% from the free throw line.
“Jeff is a very athletic guard who can play numerous positions. His versatility has allowed him to be a very good high school player,” said Coach Larson. “He is a great young man who I am looking forward to coaching.”
Jeff is the son of Doug and Sandy DeCock.
