Men's Basketball

Iowa Lakes Men’s Basketball has a great tradition of success with national tournament appearances in 1992, 1994 and 2000. The Lakers have averaged 20 wins over the previous 6 seasons and were consistently ranked nationally highlighted by a #1 NJCAA national ranking during the 2009 – 2010 season. Coached by Troy Larson, who is entering his sixth year as head coach, the Lakers play an up-tempo, exciting style of basketball focusing on defending, rebounding and transition.

Since 2007, the Lakers have had 14 all region performers, two preseason All-Americans, and nine Academic All-Region performers.  In the past  6 years, 16 Lakers have continued their academic / basketball careers at four-year institutions ranging from NCAA Division I, II as well as NAIA.
