The Saving Lives Scholarship was established in 2010 by the Practical Nursing class. Future awards will be perpetually funded by LPN classes and alumni gifts to continue to help nursing students ease their financial burden and stay in college. Award amount is $500 for tuition, books or fees. Requirements include full-time enrollment in second semester of the Practical Nursing (LPN) program or third semester in the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program, a minimum cumulative 2.2 GPA, and financial need as determined by FAFSA results.
The 2012-13 recipients are Laura Truslow of Armstrong and Lori Vanderhoff of Ruthven.
