The Houseman family of Estherville, established the Loyd (Bunny) Houseman Memorial Scholarship in 2007. Award is $500 and must be used for tuition, books or fees. A love for auto racing and natural interest in auto repair and fuel service led Bunny to found Houseman Oil Co. in 1946. Sons, Rick and Bob, continue the tradition today through Riverside Sinclair, Estherville's only full-service station; Houseman Oil Co., fuel oil delivery; and Card-trol, a 24/7 fueling station. Requirement is full-time enrollment in Auto Technology.
The 2012-13 recipient is Logan Bowman of Ayrshire.
