The Don Schafer Memorial Scholarship was established at Iowa Lakes Community College in 2005 by Don's family and friends. Requirements include graduating West Bend-Mallard senior, planning to enroll full time at Iowa Lakes, a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA and financial need determined by FAFSA form results. Award is $500 to be used for tuition, books or fees.
The 2012-13 recipient is Jessica Abrahamson of West Bend.
