The Clyde and Frances Christensen Memorial Scholarship was established at Iowa Lakes Community College in 2002 by Clyde just prior to his death. Clyde was a long-time DNR officer with a passion for the outdoors and Frances received a teaching degree from Estherville Junior College, now known as Iowa Lakes. Requirements include full-time enrollment in Environmental Studies and a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Award varies and must be used for tuition, books or fees.
The 2012-13 recipient is Andrew Harding of West Des Moines.
