The Bob McCartan Memorial Scholarship at Iowa Lakes Community College was established in 2005. Funds from the annual Bob McCartan Sprint Triathlon fund this award. Criteria for this scholarship includes graduating Emmetsburg High School senior, attending the Iowa Lakes Community College Emmetsburg campus full-time, and minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.
The 2012-13 recipient is Ashley Pelzer of Emmetsburg.
