Jazz Jive

Volume 25 No.7

JULY ISSUE:
Now that camp is over, we thought we should keep the Jazz Jive going until we’re all together next summer. (This was Scott’s wonderful idea!) I hope you take the time to read them and also to submit things to them.  For instance, something awesome that you’re doing, your school’s concerts and festivals and anything else you might think news worthy.

 WEBSITE:
We’d like the website to have lots of wonderful things to help you.  If you can think of something that you want us to put on there, please email Carol at cayres@iowalakes.edu.  We’ll be happy to work on it.

Andy had a great idea!  Gift certificates to next year’s camp for your friends and family to buy you for Christmas, your birthday or just for something incredible that you’ve done…(like straight A’s on your report card, outstanding solo award at contest, finally cleaned your room, etc.)  So, you can find that link on the first page of the website:

GIGS:

Dan, Julie, Greg and Carol play every Monday night at The Inn in Okoboji.  Often C.J. joins them, just not on a weekly basis.  They  play from 7-9 from Memorial Day to Labor Day.  The cost is $5.

Outside the Changes:

News from the Big Blue Bus!!!
Hey Carol, it's Keith (the saxophone who wouldn't wear a nametag and gave
you a hard time about not remembering my name). Anyway, The Big Blue Bus is
planning a return next year. Might have to get some new members, but we're
working on some tunes. Planning to cover a rock song, we're working on a
ballad, and both have lyrics, so we'll have to decide who'll sing... Who
thinks Tom should sing?
