Glass and Metal Fusing Jewelry $80

This class will familiarize the student with the different types of glass and their uses together while firing them in a kiln for adherence to one another. This application will use similar glasses with copper as a base metal to use as imagery within a selected glass palate. The use of ground glass or “frit” will also be discussed and utilized in the composition. The emphasis of using glass and metal, fabricating them together to create a piece of jewelry or accessory will be accomplished at the end of this course.

This course is designed for beginners to provide a hands-on educational experience in the art of clay. Students will learn ways to handle clay utilizing the pottery wheel, and slab roller. Materials provided.

Introduction to Neon Art $435

This course introduces students to the basic skills in the fabrication of neon glass. The Student learns to heat, bend, weld and anneal glass tubing using a ribbon burner, cannon burner, and tipping torch. The student will be urged to pick a simple letter designation using their name or a simple word for their first project. Limited to 4 students.

Beginning Silver Jewelry $324

The student will learn the technique of using a jeweler’s saw to fabricate a simple piece of jewelry. The application of a simple stone setting on a piece of non precious material will be instructed with techniques of silver soldering a bezel onto a design. The student will be urged to fabricate a piece of silver jewelry after the initial piece has been accomplished using sheet silver to make a simple pendant. Other techniques of forging will be demonstrated.

Lapidary 101 $355

Learn stone cutting and polishing, and turn your stone into a cabochon! The course will provide an orientation of safety, stone cutting, dopping and shaping stones, and dropping stones. The finished project will be a stone or specimen with a polished surface. Belts, six inch saw blades, Nevada #8 dopping sticks, glue, and wax provided.

Glassblowing on the Torch $194

Intuitive Acrylic Painting Series
