The 24, 36, & 48-hour EMS refresher C.E. course is held to help EMS providers meet the National Register of EMT’s continuing education requirement. This EMS Education review will cover mandatory core content and flexible core content required for recertification by the National Registry. Are you a certified AHA CPR provider or always wanted to become an AHA instructor? If so ask an AHA instructor to provide a letter of support and join us at this class. American Heart Association (AHA) instructor new or renew. Before coming to class you will need to complete the AHA core instructor course, this is included in your tuition. Contact Allied Health, Emmetsburg Campus to get the course materials. Students must bring the certificate of completion of the Core Course when we start the class. You also need to obtain an AHA instructor manual to bring to class. Instructors needing to renew their certification should attend the second night. Be sure to bring along all our renewal information and your AHA instructor manual to class. Contact Allied Health in Emmetsburg if you have questions or need information about the class or books.

IDPH, Bureau of EMS, Evaluator Practical Exam class is for new and already endorsed EMS evaluators that may want to update. This workshop provides the minimal information on requirements for EMS providers to evaluate EMR or EMT challengers taking the national practical exam. When completed new evaluators will be eligible to receive the state practical evaluator endorsement from the Bureau of EMS. Before practical exam evaluators are eligible to evaluate practical exams at Iowa Lakes Community College they must also complete the College practical exam evaluator course.
