Beginning & Advanced Welding $379

Topics covered include common welding and cutting processes, weldability of metals, identification of metals, welding terms and definitions. No previous welding experience is required. At the end of the course students will have the option to take certification exams in one or more of the AWS, API or ASME codes for an additional fee of $100 per exam. Our instructor is a Certified Welding Educator and Certified Welding Inspector through the American Welding Society.
MSHA Part 46 Refresher

The training is current with federal and state mining regulations, policies and procedures; focused on trends in causes of mining accidents and ‘near misses’; applicable to workers in all areas of Iowa’s mine operations; taught in classes of 30 or less students; and designed to meet or exceed all state and federal policies, regulations, and guidelines. This 8-hour refresher includes all miners employed in MSHA Part 46 industries’ surface mines, including contractors working on mine sites. NC3/Snap-on Torque Certification
This 24-hour course provides stackable certifications and is designed to teach students the skills required to properly use mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic torque tools. Classroom activities and hands-on assessment(s) will be required for certification. Successful students will receive certification in Hand Tool Safety, Electrical Safety, Torque Theory, Torque Mechanical, Torque Electrical, and Hydraulic Torque.
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:
- Properly identify and repair fasteners.
- Properly demonstrate the use of mechanical type torque wrenches.
- Properly demonstrate the use of electronic type torque wrenches.
- Properly demonstrate the ability to torque according to industry standards.
- Properly demonstrate the use of hydraulic type torque tools.
