Lead Safe Refresher $119

This 4-hour course is for persons who have been previously trained in “Lead Safe Work Practices.” It substitutes for the 8-hour course if a renovator has previously taken the IDPH lead safe work practices class and has a training certificate to verify it. It is also used as a three year refresher course for certified renovators to maintain their active certification status. It reviews specific work practices that are leadsafe, and describes prohibited work practices when performing renovations. It also provides renovators a review on proper set up, clean up and on-thejob training for non certified workers including 2 hours of hands on exercises. It highlights Federal and State specific regulations that must be followed as a certified renovator, and provides examples of how to maintain and document required reports. It is a course to prepare renovators for certification, or to maintain certification. There is an exam that requires a score of 80% or better, once completed participants are eligible to apply or reapply for certification with the Iowa Department of Public Health.

NC3/Snap-On Multimeter Certification $100

This short course in MultiMeter usage is just what you need to test basic electrical test circuits and components. Test for Volts, ohms, amps, micro amps, capacitance, frequency, diode and continuity. Upon successful completion of the course students will receive certification in MultiMeter proficiency.
NC3/Snap-On Torque Certification $499

This 24-hour course provides stackable certifications and is designed to teach students the skills required to properly use mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic torque tools. Classroom activities and hands-on assessment(s) will be required for certification. Upon successful completion of the course students will receive certification in Hand Tool Safety, Electrical Safety, Torque Theory, Torque Mechanical, Torque Electrical, and Hydraulic Torque.
Competent Climber/Rescuer $389

Participants will be trained on working at height principles in a classroom setting and evaluated on application of competencies in a practical setting. Topics include proper use of personal protective gear, identifying anchor points and proper deployment of rescue devices.
Performance Welding $399

Considering a welding career? This course will prepare you to become employed as a welder. Topics covered include common welding and cutting processes, weldability of metals, identification of metals, welding terms and definitions. No previous welding experience is required. Upon completion
students will have the option to take qualification exams in AWS, API or ASME codes for an additional fee of $125 per exam. Our instructor is a Certified Welding Educator and Certified Welding Inspector through the American Welding Society. GAP tuition assistance is available for qualifying students.
OSHA 10-Hour Industry Update $70

Employment Connections, Inc. which may reimburse the student for the cost of the course after obtaining a job through ECI requiring use of a forklift and 60 days of employment.
