Mike is starting his 12th season as head softball
coach at Iowa Lakes Community College. The Laker
women finished 56-13 in 2008, winning the Region XI
title and 5th place at the NJCAA
Nationals. Bosch and Anderson were named the NFCA
National Coaching Staff of the Year for their
efforts in 2008. Iowa Lakes will return two
All-Americans and ten sophomores from that squad to
go with nine freshmen in 2009. In his eleven
completed seasons at Iowa Lakes, Bosch has had 32
players named first team all-region and 19 NJCAA or
NFCA All-Americans (including five last season).
Bosch has compiled a 473-227-2(.676) coaching record
in 15 years of coaching and has had 50+ win seasons
two of the last three years. Known for excellent
offensive teams, Bosch's teams have compiled higher
than .320 batting averages 12 out his 15 years of
coaching. The 2008 team set a team record for
batting average (.392), hits (788) and runs (575).
Mike had a 68-19 high school coaching record in four
seasons of high school coaching. He led Wabasso,
MN., to a fifth place finish in the 1991 state
tournament and was named Region 3A Coach of the
Year. In 1992, Bosch again led Wabasso to the state
tournament this time with a 7th place finish. Bosch
was once again named Region 3A Coach of the Year.
Bosch led Jackson, Minn., to 4th place in the 1993
state tournament.
