Mike
is starting his 13th season as head softball coach at
Iowa Lakes Community College. The Laker women finished
56-9 in 2009, losing in the Region XI championship
game. Bosch and Anderson were named the NFCA National
Coaching Staff of the Year for their efforts in 2008 and
the Midwest Coaching Staff of the Year in 2006 and
2008. Iowa Lakes will return one All-Americans and
eight sophomores from that squad to go with eleven
freshmen in 2009. In his twelve completed seasons at
Iowa Lakes, Bosch has had 40 players named first team
all-region and 23 NJCAA or NFCA All-Americans (including
four last season).
Bosch has also had 12 Division I transfers and 27
Division II transfers.
Bosch has compiled a 532-236-2(.693) coaching record in
16 years of coaching and has had 50+ win seasons three
of the last four years. Bosch has had five All American
pitchers the last five years and last season Ashley
Meyer was among the NJCAA nations leaders in wins,
strikeouts and ERA.
Mike had a 68-19 high school coaching record in four
seasons of high school coaching. He led Wabasso, MN., to
a fifth place finish in the 1991 state tournament and
was named Region 3A Coach of the Year. In 1992, Bosch
again led Wabasso to the state tournament this time with
a 7th place finish. Bosch was once again named Region 3A
Coach of the Year. Bosch led Jackson, Minn., to 4th
place in the 1993 state tournament.
Mike also teaches Mathematics at Iowa Lakes and has a
Masters degree in Mathematics from Minnesota State. He
has three children Kendall (15), Carsten (12) and Jacob
(9).
