The Jim Hall Outstanding Alumni Award was established by the Iowa Lakes Community College Alumni & Friends Association to recognize and honor Jim Hall, an alumni of Iowa Lakes, who has achieved substantial public recognition for his accomplishments and success. The nominee should have:

Graduated from Iowa Lakes Community College
Earned the respect and trust of his/her associates in his/her chosen field, or
Made substantial contributions to the good of his/her fellow human beings or be recognized as an outstanding practitioner of his/her profession or vocation, or
Served as a motivational force for others in a positive manner.

The award is presented annually at the Iowa Lakes Community College Spring Commencement exercises.
