The Todd Edmund Eslick "Eddie Flyer" Scholarship was established in 2010. Todd, a 2000 Aviation alumnus, was affectionately known as "Eddie Flyer" by his classmates and comrades in pranks. At the age of 13, he was the youngest to complete ground school in Webster City, Iowa, and later became the youngest flight instructor hired at the college.
Todd was known for his ability to identify the type of aircraft passing overhead by the engine sound and always departed his fellow pilots with a wish for "blue skies and tailwinds". This $500 scholarship, must be used for tuition, books or fees.
The 2012-13 recipient is Stanton Schelling of Orange City.
