Put on your bib overalls and seed corn cap and join the Iowa Lakes Community College Foundation’s 5th Annual Scholarship Tractor Ride on Thursday, September 26.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at the Emmetsburg Campus of Iowa Lakes Community College. Cost is $25 per person and includes t-shirt, lunch and a donation to the scholarship.
Guests will enjoy coffee and rolls prior to starting the ride. At 9 a.m. the 80-mile ride will start and take the participants on a scenic tour of Palo Alto County. The all paved route will include Cylinder, Rodman, West Bend, Mallard, Ayrshire and Emmetsburg. Lunch will be provided at the Grotto in West Bend. Proceeds from the Tractor Ride generate scholarships for Iowa Lakes agriculture students. If you live along the route make sure you tip your hat and wave thanks for the rider’s support of student scholarships at Iowa Lakes.
