To be admitted to Iowa Lakes Community College:
- Submit a
completed Iowa Lakes application form and have a transcript of high school work or GED
certification sent to Iowa Lakes.
- If you have attended any other college, have that
college send an official transcript directly to Iowa Lakes.
- It is recommended that you participate in the American College
Test (ACT) program and submit your test scores.
- Career Option, Vocational, or Technical Programs:
When going into a career option or vocational and technical program, you'll benefit
from an interview with an instructor or program coordinator.
- Nursing applicants must also
submit ACT program test scores.
- Some programs require medical
examinations and/or assessment before admission.
- Continuing Education:
You need not apply for admission to non-credit continuing education classes. They are
open to all regardless of their previous education.
READMISSION:
If you are returning to Iowa Lakes after an absence of more than one term, please apply
for readmission. You will also be required to fulfill the current graduation requirements.
TRANSFER STUDENTS:
If you are transferring from another college, please submit official transcripts
directly from each college whether or not you earned credit there. You will also have to
complete all the normal admission requirements.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:
If you are applying to Iowa Lakes from a country other than the United States of
America, you will need to complete a special application form, which you can get from the
Iowa Lakes admissions office. Send official transcripts from all secondary schools or
higher education sources you have attended directly to the admissions office.
Include notarized translations for all non-English language records. Include specific
dates of school attendance on the transcripts. Students whose native language is not
English must submit evidence of their English proficiency on
the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). International students must submit
evidence of financial ability to meet college and living expenses during the first year of
attendance. You must follow visa regulations of the U.S. Department of Immigration and
Naturalization.
