Due to inclement weather, all classes (credit & continuing education) at all campuses will start at 10 am tomorrow, Tuesday, January 17. This also affects the Jazz Band Contest which will start at 10 a.m. on the Estherville campus. Offices will open at 10.
The Computer Programming curriculum provides classroom experience with current IT technologies and skills.
These skills will help qualify you to go to work immediately after graduation. You will also be able to transfer to a four year college to continue your education. On-the-job training (practicum) is required for graduation the summer of your sophomore year. You will find this experience is very beneficial in seeking permanent employment.
Students graduating from the two-year Computer Specialist Program can expect to find entry-level jobs at rates ranging from $24,000 to $36,000 per year.
Science/Math majors can be employed to implement scientific applications and programs in engineering firms, marketing agencies, large insurance companies, and many other areas. If you have a business specialty, job possibilities include employment in small, medium and large businesses, industries, and municipalities.
