Motorcycle & Small Engine Technology

Motorcycle Technology

The Motorcycle and Small Engine Technology program is designed to prepare you for employment in the repair of lawn and garden equipment, snowmobiles, personal watercraft, all-terrain vehicles and both american and foreign motorcycles.

Employment opportunities after graduation may include dealership technician, service manager, parts, sales, business owner, and performance shop technician. Starting salaries range from $20,000 to $36,000.

Today’s technicians need: increasingly good mechanical aptitude; the ability to read and comprehend service literature; the ability to understand and perform a variety of increasingly technical diagnostic procedures; and the ability to work with fellow employees and, most of all, customers. A diploma can be earned after the first year. After completion of a second year you earn an Associate in Applied Science degree. Your instructor can provide you with more information.
