organization and principles, managerial planning, and control policies and procedures of
business firms.

COURSE OBJECTIVES/COMPETENCIES: After completing the course, the student will be
able to:
- Define the concept of management within an organization context and as a process.
- Discuss the responsibilities of functional and general managers.

Attendance/Participation 10%
Please note, if you are unable to be in class the date of a test and you feel you have
a valid excuse, it will be necessary to contact the instructor prior to the class period
of the test, if the test is to be made up. There will be no make-ups for quizzes.
