Catalog Description:

This course is designed to help you learn the basic fundamentals of business. You will learn basic business and economic concepts and terminology and will learn what people do in management, marketing, finance, human resource management, accounting and other business areas.

Upon completion of this course the student will be able to:

  1. Define basic business and economic concepts and terminology.
  2. Describe the free enterprise system and the entrepreneurial spirit.
  3. Explain basic trends in business.
  4. Describe the basic steps in starting, owning, and operating a business.
  5. Describe various types of business careers and explain.
  6. Describe the skills and abilities that are necessary for success in business.
